The Western Cape Branch was established in 1969 in response to the need identified by people living with and affected by epilepsy.

Epilepsy South Africa Mpumalanga-Limpopo Branch operates in the rural and deep-rural areas of Mpumalanga and Limpopo. We offer a holistic service to people with epilepsy and related disabilities in several programmes. OUR SERVICES : *Community Intervention: Offices in Dullstroom, Delmas, Elukwatini and Siyabuswa. This service supports indiviuals with epilepsy in their communities through self-help groups, stimulation groups, support groups and an awareness and advocacy programme. *Two residential centres: Dullstroom and Elandsdoorn, close to Grobblersdal. Residential services for people with epilepsy and related disabilities who can no longer cope in their own communities. It provides holistic services to people with epilepsy and other disabilities throughout the province. We are situated in Knysna where we have a Residential Care Facility catering for 60 multiple-disabled adults of whom 97% have epilepsy. We have two protective workshops on our premises to keep most of the residents and 25 profoundly disabled day-visitors from the surrounding communities meaningfully occupied.
