The Jewellery Council of South Africa was created as a jewellery industry representative body in 1973 and has developed from a voluntary organisation to a non-profit company. We have duly constituted Articles of Association and we presently employ 6 employees. Our offices are situated at The Hamlet, 27 Ridge Road, Parktown, Johannesburg. The Council is made up of 3 divisions, each representing a different facet of the industry, namely: *Jewellery Manufacturers *Jewellery Wholesalers *Jewellery Retailers. The Council also represents other bodies that do not fall within the 3 above divisions, such as Mintek and mining houses, De Beers, Anglo American Platinum, Chamber of Mines. The premier showcase event of the South African diamond, jewellery and watch industry is the annual Jewellex Africa Jewellery Trade Fair, organised by the Jewellery Council of South Africa...
