The Claremont Improvement District Company (CIDC) is a defined geographical space, approved by the City of Cape Town, in terms of the Municipal Property Rates Act, Section 22 and the CID bylaw. The CIDC concentrates primarily on three aspects, providing complementary services to the Municipality and Provincial Government, in terms of crime, grime and social outreach.
