The Constitution Hill precinct is located at 11 Kotze Street in Bremfontein, Johannesburg near the western end of the suburb of Hillbrow. Constitution Hill is the seat of the Constitutional Court of South Africa.

The Apartheid Museum is the story of the triumph of the human spirit over adversity and oppression. Beginning in 1948, the white elected National Party government initiated a process that turned more than 20 million people into 2nd class citizens, damning them to a life of servitude, humiliation and abuse. Their liberation in 1994 was the climax of a nation's resistance, courage and fortitude. The path through the museum leads you on a journey beginning with segregation, the cornerstone of apartheid. It takes you back through the history of the myriad cultures converging during the pre-apartheid era, through the years of race classification, the 150 acts of apartheid, detentions and the oppression of the nationalist regime. You will examine the rise of black consciousness and the armed struggle, and finally witness the release of Nelson Mandela after 27 years of imprisonment which led to the negotiations for peace. The Transnet Transport Museum is the largest transport museum in South Africa where the history of the railways is preserved for future generations. Various transport items are on display, selection of steam locomotives, road transport vehicles, paintings, furniture, crockery, cutlery, model locomotives and planes, vintage cars and a large model train layout.

This house museum is furnished as a home for a well-to-do Cape family during the late 18th Century. It houses some of the best pieces of Cape furniture and silver in the country, in addition to a priceless collection of ceramics

Cape Town businessman, William Fehr (1892-1968), first loaned this collection of oil paintings, furniture, ceramics, metal and glassware for public exhibition at the Castle in 1952. In 1964, the South African government purchased the collection. In the following year Fehr donated his collection of artworks on paper. The objects in the William Fehr Collection date from the 17th to the 19th centuries and reflect the furnishings of well-to-do, mainly Cape urban households. One of the remarkable aspects of the collection is the large number of oil paintings that portray views of the Cape colonial settlement and Table Bay maritime scenes. Though these art works reflect a colonial worldview, they are fascinating reflections of life at the Cape and the people - free and otherwise - who lived and worked here in earlier centuries.
