Hermanus Child & Family Services (previously Child Welfare Hermanus) is a designated child protection organisation (DCPO) by the Department of Social Development to provide child protection services. We have been servicing the community of Hermanus and surrounding areas for over 75 years. Our mission is to protect and support the most vulnerable in our society.

The ACVV is one of only a few designated child protection organisations (DCPO) in South Africa. In terms of the Children's Act it means that the ACVV may render the full scope of child protection services, i. e. from prevention programs to statutory intervention. Child protection Programs & Services : Strength-based development programs with a clear FOCUS ON CHILDREN under the age of 18 years and within a family context where child protection and family preservation are of equal importance. National awareness programs to educate & enable behaviour change.

We provide day care services and develop programs, thereby enabling 4 690 pre-school children to have learning opportunities.
