"Efi Removals – Avoid at All Costs! Giving zero stars is generous for this abysmal moving company. Do not make the mistake of hiring them! I was relocating from Durban to Johannesburg and had engaged with their sales representative, Kim, a month prior to my move. Initially promised a 6 AM arrival, a week before the move, Kim informed me they could only make it by 8 AM. On the day, Kim passed me onto her manager, Caleb, who shockingly stated the truck would arrive at 2 PM. The truck eventually showed up at 3:45 PM, causing me fines for exceeding the rental property's time limit. Throughout the day, both Kim and Caleb ignored my calls, displaying extreme unprofessionalism, lack of remorse, and unethical behavior. They blatantly lied about timelines and my belongings, collected on December 3rd, were supposed to arrive by the 5th but arrived on the 8th. To add insult to injury, the truck driver demanded extra payment on the side for materials already included in the initial quotation.

Worst removals company in South Africa! I hardly ever give poor reviews but felt the need to alert others of this business. Charging R37k for a move from Johannesburg to Cape Town, I trusted them with my possessions only to be severely disappointed, by lies and deceit (their sales lady) as well as SEVERE damage to my possessions / valuables. They did not keep to timelines and my goods were shifted from pillar to post. Promised delivery was delayed by many days and I had to lose my temper to get delivery done. First my goods were coming to Cape Town via Kimberley and then suddenly the driver communicated that he was in George on the way to Cape Town? Terrible customer service. Quick to take your deposit and payment in advance, but take no responsibility for their shoddy workmanship. Almost EVERY item of furniture, and appliance was damaged in transit with no responsibility being taken whatsoever. Management hides behind sales staff and do not reply to several emails

This company should not be operating. Easily the most unprofessional service provider within this industry. My items were damaged, stolen and of those that I received, some were not transported within boxes and adequate protective wrapping. Aside from the poor service and damage to valuables, I was threatened and had my items withheld by Kim and Caleb, which have on record along with witnesses. I sought legal recourse and they have continuously ignored the letter of demand from my legal representative. I have now involved the police and the next step is to issue a court summons. This will be a length process, but l'm patient. I will be compensated accordingly, eventually.
