In the space of only a few years, South Cape College has formed an effective partnership with local authorities to establish a dynamic TVET facility - with further developments planned. Although it has only been a couple of years since its official launch, a huge amount of students passed through the capable hands of the lecturers / facilitators at the Campus. Soon this Campus with its beautiful setting will be able to offer even more to the public with various expansions planned that started with the building of new classrooms and a training kitchen.

This campus is another example of what can be achieved when a TVET college, local authorities and Provincial Government take hands for the benefit of the area. Established with ex-MEC of Education in the Western Cape, Mr Cameron Dugmore, it is situated in the picturesque town of Riversdale. Various skills courses have been offered through the Innovation & Development Department. The Innovation and Development is very active at Hessequa and a significant number of students have already received skills courses from the lecturers and facilitators.
In Mossel Bay, the support and encouragement of several courageous men led to the establishment of what is today known as the Mossel Bay Campus of South Cape College. This Campus delivers excellent service to our immediate area, the Klein Karoo and across the entire South Africa. Tuition started in one classroom with post school technical training. It was the intention to allow students from previously disadvantaged groups to have access to training so that qualifications could be upgraded and skills be acquired. Thanks to the generous support of Petro SA, which donated a well equipped computer centre, and a number of other firms that contributed towards the setting up of an electronics workshop, the Mossel Bay campus is currently the only TVET facility between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town offering technical programmes with e-learning facilities.
The Oudtshoorn Campus is the only multi-purpose training and education institution in the Klein Karoo, offering Technical, Vocational Education and Training, College and University levels of training. The Oudtshoorn Technical College was established after the local authorities had to close down the Commercial High School and the infrastructure became available. Community leaders identified the opportunity to utilize the building to offer tertiary education, alongside the TVET-programmes, to local and surrounding disadvantaged, less privileged and poor communities. As a TVET institution, they firmly believe in the developmental value of career training through effective partnerships. Partnerships have been secured to ensure accredited, quality and affordable education. Currently this campus has partnerships with the University of the Free State. As an TVET College, much attention is also given to skills and learner ships, advancing people towards a fully accredited qualification.
South Africa’s most effective and respected learning centre, providing computer, business and career skills.
