The Lido Hotel in Johannesburg is a classic Art Deco Style Hotel that dates back as far as 1932. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Queens visit to South Africa by steam boat. The name Lido means "deck of a ship" used as a public place of recreation. The hotel is well placed in Kliprivier conservancy and Khoisan land. The historically protected building now boasts 24 rooms, each an en suite with diva baths and Indian rock tiled bathrooms walls.
